Did the rock texture in Mari, to compare.

Getting to know Quixel Suite 2.0 for a project I have in mind. Courtesy of the model goes to Jonas Digital Art.

Made an effort this week and learnt the basics of using Clarisse after my friend Ramtin introduced me to the software. very cool piece of technology!
For the following scene (test) I started with a simple cube and two free zbrush custom rock brushes that is made by a gentleman called JONAS RONNEGARD (link below). And the rest was done in Clarisse! 17 million points straight to render!!! All the textures are procedural. That’s something I always wished for, not getting into technicality for creating an image and just focus on the creative part of it. Although if you are new to rendering, it will take you a while to grasp the whole Clarisse environment. Having the background of using Arnold for Maya did help me learning Clarisse quickly . Im really looking forward to the future updates of Clarisse.

Coming back to the giant robot, here’s the pose…

Recently did a quick and dirty little job for a furniture manufacturer in zbrush.

Closeup of the foot texture.

Leg texture done.

A little update here, been busy with family matter stuff... hope you like it.

I decided to re paint the head with a different painting technique.

Life without MARI and Arnold render is too boring. hehe...

Updating my texturing, lighting and rendering workflow. Rendered in ‎solid angle arnold‬, ‎anamorphic‬ feel.

More progress...

Pretty happy of the result I could get today in mari. 100% handpainted. Im done with this part for now.
